OSAMA’S SONS

It is said by the Pakistani government, that one of Osama’s sons escaped the US raid to kill Osama.  He is also known as the so called prince of terror.  He has been missing since the raid.  One of his 17 sons said, “We maintain that arbitrary killing is not a solution to political problems," the statement continued, adding that "justice must be seen to be done."  President Obama has rejected suggestions that the killing was improper, telling "60 Minutes" that anyone who questioned whether bin Laden deserved his fate "needs to have their head examined."http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110511/ts_yblog_thelookout/bin-laden-family-condemns-killing-while-wife-says-one-son-escaped

FAMILY WEALTH

A man named Wellington R. Burt was a very rich timber baron from Saginaw.  He did not want his children to end up spoiled and bad people so he created a very strange will.  He decided that the wealth that he would leave behind would be distributed to the family 21 years after his grandchildren’s death.  This meant that all the money would go to hid great and great great grandchildren.it was just a very weird decision.http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/112715/shutting-kids-out-family-fortune-wsj?mod=family-kids_parents

OSAMA BIN LADEN

With Osama Bin Laden now dead, a lot of questions have risen on the subject of Al Qaida.   Many people fear that sense American Navy Seals have shot and killed Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaida will seek retaliation.  People believe that they would like to retaliate but if they do it will take them some time before they could. People ask what will become of Al Qaida.  There is no doubt they will continue to run but this is a strong hit on them   http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_exclusive/20110502/pl_yblog_exclusive/after-bin-ladens-death-whats-next-for-the-u-s-and-al-qaida

REFLECTION

The class discussion was pretty interesting, and I think that a lot more people came prepared for this discussion.  It was also one of the most intense discussions yet.  I could see anger in a lot of people’s eyes.  I don’t like when people are so one sided, that they don’t even take any consideration in to what others have to say.  It is kind of sad that they can’t even look at the problem from both sides. Without looking at the problem from both sides, how are you supposed to solve it in the first place?  I don’t know why or how the issue of race got involved, but I knew before I walked in that a couple of certain people would bring it up for no reason.  I understand that there is an issue of race that goes along with immigration, but they were talking about slaves and stuff which I don’t see how that ties in to immigration at all.  That whole topic of racism just made me mad.  Especially when the one guy looked right at Cole and said, “you people”.  But I feel like I said all I wanted to, so that was good.  It was exciting discussion and I looking forward to another.
